How many tokens are you really paying for?
Paste your prompt, see how AI “chops it up” — and how much it really costs, in real euros, on every model.
What tokens are, in 90 seconds
They're not words, they're not letters. They're pieces. Understanding them saves you money and helps you write better prompts.
One word ≠ one token
Models split text into pieces (tokens) that can be whole words, parts of words, or single characters.
Italian costs more
Non-English languages tend to split into more pieces. The same message in Italian uses ~30% more tokens than in English.
Spaces and accents matter
An accent, an emoji, or an unusual character can add “invisible” tokens. That's why counts differ between models.
Same text, different counts
Every model has its own tokenizer. Changing the model — or the language — changes the price. Compare with the same prompt.
