Higgsfield in Claude Code images and video from your workflow

Connect Higgsfield's connector to Claude Code and generate images and video while you code: subscription, setup, ready prompts and caveats.

What Higgsfield is

Higgsfield is a platform that brings together over 30 models for image and video generation — Veo 3.1, Kling 3.0, Seedance 2.0, Nano Banana Pro, plus the in-house Soul and Cinema Studio models — in a single app. Instead of jumping between services, you orchestrate all of them from one place.

Its MCP connector makes all those models reachable from inside Claude Code: you describe what you want in plain language, the agent picks the right model, kicks off the generation and brings the result back into your workflow. Once installed, it acts as a bridge to every service.

You need a subscription

To connect it you just need a Higgsfield account: new accounts get free credits for their first generations. To unlock every feature and generate on an ongoing basis, though, you need an active plan. Higgsfield runs on credits: every generation consumes an amount that depends on the model, the duration and the resolution.

  • Starter — $15/month

200 credits/month. For trying it out and shooting your first shots.

  • Plus — $39/month

1,000 credits/month. The right tier for steady, regular use.

  • Ultra — $99/month

3,000 credits/month. For anyone generating long, 4K video.

For teams and companies there are Team and Enterprise plans. Monthly credits don't roll over: they reset on renewal. Updated pricing and credits are on the official plans page.

Connect the connector to Claude Code

Two routes. The simplest is the guided flow in Claude Code; if you prefer the terminal, it's a single command.

From the guided flow (Connectors)
  1. 1 Open Claude (web, desktop or Claude Code) and go to Settings → Connectors.
  2. 2 Choose "Add custom connector", name it Higgsfield and paste the server URL below.
  3. 3 Press "Connect": a guided flow opens and takes you to the Higgsfield login (OAuth). Approve the access.
  4. 4 Set permissions to "Always allow" so you don't have to confirm on every generation. Done: it's a one-time setup.

The MCP server URL to paste into the connector field:

MCP SERVER URL
https://mcp.higgsfield.ai/mcp

Or, from the terminal, add the connector with one command: authentication goes through the browser (OAuth), no API keys needed.

FROM THE TERMINAL
claude mcp add --transport http --scope user higgsfield https://mcp.higgsfield.ai/mcp

Generate images and video while you code

With Higgsfield connected, while you work in Claude Code you can ask in plain language to generate an image or generate a video. The agent picks the model, kicks off the job, waits for the render and drops the result straight into your workflow.

EXAMPLE REQUESTS
Generate a 9:16 image of a perfume bottle on a cinematic black background, warm side light, ad-campaign quality.

Generate an 8-second 16:9 video of a walk down a neon-lit Tokyo street at night. Use Kling 3.0.

You can go beyond a single prompt: define a consistent style for every image in a project, or train a "Soul" character from a person's face — once trained, you reuse it to create video, 3D animation and different scenes while keeping it identical.

Quick review and practical tips

Higgsfield's strength isn't one model, it's having them all together behind a single conversational interface. Four tips to get the most out of it:

  • Let Claude pick the model unless you want a specific one (Veo 3.1, Kling 3.0, Seedance 2.0, Soul…): describe the shot, it handles the rest.
  • Be explicit about format (9:16, 16:9), duration and style: "cinematic", "natural light", "ad-campaign" are words that steer the model.
  • Define a consistent style for all the images in a project and reuse it in later prompts.
  • Train a "Soul" character from a person's face: once trained, you reuse it for video, 3D animation and different scenes while keeping it consistent.

Caveats: credits and timing

Every generation consumes credits: the cost varies by model, duration, resolution and premium features. Monthly credits don't roll over, they reset on renewal.
Video isn't instant: the model renders and the agent polls until it's ready. Expect wait times, especially in 4K or on the heavier models.
Output up to 4K and clips up to 15 seconds: beyond those limits you need to split the work into multiple generations.
Keep an eye on your credit balance before launching batches of images or video: premium models eat through budget fast.

The connector's official docs are at higgsfield.ai/mcp. Keep the plans page handy: with the right models and a budget under control, generating images and video without leaving Claude Code becomes a natural part of the workflow.
